53Service Manual – SC6000 20 - Wheel System, TractionMaintenance and AdjustmentsDrive Pedal Neutral AdjustmentBecause the drive pedal potentiometer is set up in a wig-wag configuration, it is necessary to adjust the mid-point of the potentiometer to coincide with the relaxed position of the physical pedal The Drive Controllerplaces 5 volts on the potentiometer, and the mid-point neutral position should have 2 5 volts from thepotentiometer wiperCAUTION: To reduce the risk of inadvertently activating thedrive system, make sure all safety measures arein place. Always be prepared for the machine tomove unexpectedly.1 Power-on the machine with technician user level If the machineerrors due to a throttle position error, you may ignore it for now2 For safety, press the E-Stop button and make sure nothing is onthe operator’s seat that could close the seat switch3 Navigate to the E4 Drive Controller menu and scroll down to the “Throttle Voltage” status.4 Make sure the drive pedal is in the center, relaxed position5 Check the Throttle Voltage listing on the display If it is not 2 8 ± 0 2 volts, adjust the potentiometerpositiona Loosen the two screws that secure thepotentiometer to the pedal housingb If the voltage is below 2 8V, rotate thepotentiometer body clockwise slightlyc If the voltage is above 2 8V, rotate thepotentiometer body counterclockwise slightlyd Without moving the potentiometer, retightenthe mounting screws• Note that the tolerance for the potentiometerof ± 0 2 volts is narrower than the tolerancethat the drive controller considers the neutralposition (± 0 5 volts) This provides a marginof error for the actual operation of the pedal during useE4 Drive ControllerSpeed (mph/kph)Back ScrollThrottle %Throttle VoltageM11 Current0.002.80.0MountingScrewsPotentiometer
