119Service Manual – SC6000 38 - Squeegee SystemSqueegee Height and Tilt AdjustmentThe squeegee height and tilt should be adjustedwhen the squeegee blades are replaced, orif the squeegee is not fully wiping the floor.Misadjustment symptoms include pooling infront of the squeegee or water streaks at thecenter or edges of the squeegee path1 Park the machine on a flat, even surfaceand lower the squeegee2 Without moving the machine (which willcause the rear squeegee blade to bendbackward), inspect the interface betweenthe edge of the rear squeegee blade and thefloor. Inspect for gaps at either the centeror the edges3 Tighten (clockwise) or loosen (counterclockwise)the squeegee tilt adjustment knob (E) to levelthe squeegee across its length• If there is a gap in the center, loosen theadjustment knob• If there are gaps at the outside, tighten theadjustment knob4 Move the machine forward slightly to cause therear squeegee blade to bend back from frictionwith the floor.• Make sure the flare of the rear blade is evenalong the entire length of the blade5 Inspect the height of the front squeegee bladeWhen the casters (A) are touching the ground, the front squeegee blade (D) should barely be touchingthe floor. To adjust the height:a Loosen the two clamping knobs (B)b Loosen the adjustment disk (C) to raise the squeegee, or tighten the adjustment disk to lower thesqueegeec Make sure the height is the same across the width of the squeegeed Retighten the clamping knobs6 If the height was significantly changed, recheck the tilt adjustment in step 3.CBADEGapLoosenGapsTighten
