Logical nodescomprise of one or more physical nodes, enabling you to define more than onephysical node to associate parameters with a specific physical node.You can associate parameters with a specific physical node. For example, anadministrator can provision one physical gateway but want to route to differenttrunk groups owned by this gateway. To accomplish this, the administrator mustcreate a logical node for each trunk group by selecting the physical node and thenassociating a 'norteltrkgrp' parameter with it.You can also define more than one physical node as part of the logical nodedefinition.To add a logical entity1 Select Service nodes > Add Logical Entity.The Add Logical Entity page appears.2 Enter a name for the logical entity in the Logical Entity field. A logical entityname cannot be more than 30 characters in length and can contain only letters,numbers, and specific symbols.Tip: When a logical entity is added, it can be assigned to root domains.The domain can use the node to create gateway routes, EmergencyResponse Locations (ERLs), or Assign to Routable Services, only after adomain is assigned to a node.Letters • a to z• A to ZNumbers • 0 to 9Symbols • underscore (_)
