177Provisioning Client User GuideCreating a Routability GroupA routability group is the network topology of the end user's service area. Thegroup consists of the locations that describe the geography that is served and thenetwork topology that connects them. That network has firewalls and NATdevices spread throughout, so some of those locations route clearly to others, andsome do not. Those that can route clearly to each other can be placed in aroutability group. Because they can route clearly (no NAT devices, no firewalls),a portal is not required. Some examination and understanding of the servicenetwork is required to create a routability group.Creating a new collection of routable locationsTo create a collection of routable locations1 Select Media Portal > Add Routability Group. The Create Routability Group page appears.2 Specify a unique Routability Group Name (Optional: select any ForeignDomains) that is intended to be members of this group.
