Initially, a system administrator defines a group of locations. Some ofthese locations can be defined as an Emergency Response Location (ERL), whileothers remain as a location.When a 911 call is initiated, the MCS system verifies whether the user’s locationis defined as an ERL. If not, the system attempts to find the closest location thatwas defined as an ERL and uses that information to route the call.To define a location as an ERL1 Under the domain or subdomain where you want to define a location, selectLocation Services > ERLs.The Emergency Response Location Management page appears.2 Click the location you wish to define as an ERL.The ERL Details page appears.3 Select the node from the drop down menu in the Service Node field.
