30 Chapter 3 Preparing the system for upgradeRunning the CallPilot 5.0 Upgrade WizardThe CallPilot 5.0 Upgrade Wizard checks if your CallPilot system is ready foran upgrade; it does not make any changes to your system. The CallPilot 5.0Upgrade Wizard analyzes the software and hardware components of yoursystem and helps you prepare for the upgrade. The CallPilot 5.0 UpgradeWizard performs the following tasks:• platform validation (software and hardware)• data validation• keycode validation• system backupThe CallPilot 5.0 Upgrade Wizard has several optional exit points.
