The system maintenance menu mode is activated when the power is turned on with theMENU+ and MENU- keys held down simultaneously2. Press the MENU+ or MENU- key several times, until "ENGINE DIAG MODE" is displayed.Pressing the ENTER key causes "DIAGNOSTIC MODE" to appear.3. XX.XX.XX of "DIAGNOSTIC MODE XX.XX.XX" which is displayed in the LCD section is theversion of the PU firmware. The set value of FACTORY WORKING MODE is indicated in thelower line to the right. Normally, S-MODE for "SHIPPING" is displayed.4. Pressing the MENU+ or MENU- key takes you to each self-diagnostic step. (The menu itemsrotate as the MENU+ or MENU- key is pressed.)6.3.2.2.2 Deactivation of self-diagnostic mode1. Turn the power off, and on again after ten seconds.6.3.2.3 Switch scan testThis self-diagnosis is practiced to check the inlet sensors and switches.1. Activate the self-diagnostic mode (Level 1), press and hold down the MENU+ or MENU- key,until "SWITCH SCAN" appears in the upper line of the display section, and then, press theENTER key. (The MENU+ key increments a test item, and the MENU- key decrements a testitem.)2. Press and hold down the MENU+ or MENU- key, until the item corresponding to the unit ofTable 5-3 now to be tested appears in the lower line of the display section. (The MENU+ keyincrements a test item, and the MENU- key decrements a test item.)3. Pressing the ENTER key initiates the test, and the name and current status of thecorresponding unit are displayed.Note) Pressing and holding down (2 sec) the [ENTER] key when a motor is decided causesthe motor to keep running.Conduct this operation on each unit (Figure 6-1). The indications are produced in thecorresponding LCD display. (The indications vary from one sensor to another. See Table 6-3for details).4. Pressing the CANCEL key restores the status of Item 2 above.5. Repeat Items 2 to 4, as needed.6. To end the test, press the BACK key. (The status of Item 1 will be restored).
