Chapter 14 Using Palm™ VersaMail™ Personal E-mail Software164Changing the account username and passwordIn the next part of the VersaMail Account Setup, you can change the usernameand/or password for this account. The VersaMail 2.5 application provides strongencryption for your password.To edit the account username and password:1. (Optional) Enter a new username for accessing your e-mail. This is generally thepart of your e-mail address appearing before the @ symbol; it is usually not yourentire e-mail address.2. (Optional) Tap the Password box, and then enter a new password. ThePassword box displays the word “Assigned” to indicate that a password hasbeen entered.3. Tap OK, or press Function + Enter . The Password box displays the word“Assigned” to indicate that a password has been entered.4. Tap Next.Editing the names of the incoming and outgoing mail serversIf your e-mail address or the names of the outgoing and incoming mail servershave changed or have been entered incorrectly, you can edit the address or theserver names.To edit mail server settings:1. (Optional) Enter a new e-mail address for the account you are accessing, suchas “examplename@yahoo.com.”2. (Optional) Enter the new or correct name of your incoming (POP) mail server,such as pop.mail.yahoo.com.
