86P2To check the data copied into the hard disk driveAfter step 4 on the previous page, use the andbuttons to select PROPERTY, and then pressthe button.The contents of the hard disk drive are displayed.• To view details of the items, select an item usingthe and buttons, and press the button.To verify the data when copying it into the harddisk driveAfter step 4 on the previous page, use the andbutton to select YES from the VERIFY option onSETUP.• Copying to the P2 card is completed, even if youinterrupt processing during verification.• You cannot copy data from the hard disk drive toa P2 card.• Use a hard disk drive under the followingconditions.1) Power is supplied from a source other than the1394 bus. (It is not supplied from the unit.)2) You may format the hard disk drive for usageby the unit.3) Use the hard disk drive within the guaranteedoperating range (humidity and otherenvironmental conditions).4) Do not place the hard disk drive in an unstablelocations or locations subjected to vibrations.• Some HDD may not operate correctly.• During formatting or copying, do not remove anycables, eject the P2 card, or turn off the power forthe unit or hard disk drive. The power will need tobe turned on again.• No guarantees are made for operation if the1394 HOST mode is established without firstconnecting the HDD (1394.a SBP2 supported)and then the HDD is connected. In this case, turnoff the power, and then release the 1394 HOSTmode.• The hard disk drive is an extremely high-precision device. Therefore, it is highlypossible that data cannot be read in certainoperating environments.Please note that our company will not beliable for any data losses due to hard diskdrive failure or other faults, or any other director indirect damage related to these problems.• If you rewrite the contents of the HDD usedto carry out copying from the camera toanother PC, the subsequent operation in thecamera and the data in the HDD cannot beguaranteed.• It is recommended that you first restore anydefective clips contained in the P2 card beforecopying the data.• In order to avoid the occurrence of trouble incopying, formatting or other operations, it isrecommended that you perform these operationsafter ensuring that power supply has stabilized.WarningsHDD CAPACITY FULL!There is not enough free memory on the HDD.TOO MANY PARTITIONS!There are too many partitions.HDD DISCONNECTED!The HDD has been disconnected.CANNOT INITIALIZE!Initializing cannot be performed.TOO MANY TARGETS!There are too many 1394 connectiondestinations.CANNOT ACCESS TARGET!The connection destination cannot be accessed.CANNOT ACCESS CARD!The card cannot be accessed.MISMATCH COMPONENT!There is a mismatch with the connectiondestination.UNKNOWN DEVICE CONNECTED!A device other than an HDD has been connected.P2 CARD IS UNFORMATTED!The P2 card is still unformatted.CARD IS EMPTY!
