Playback in clipselect mode does not differ from normal playback, butenables playback with fixed delay. During playback theCLIP SELECT button flashes but the unit stays in clipselect status.Pressing the CLIP SELECT button when it is flashing inplayback stop mode or playback pause mode changesflashing to steady light. When the CLIP SELECT button islit, the unit is in PB mode regardless of PB/EE modesetting.Changing the initial position will cause the CLIP SELECTbutton to flash and cancel fixed delay. Press the CLIPSELECT button to turn it on, and fixed delay resumes.*1This depends on the value set in setup menu No. 165(CLIPSEL MODE) (page 189).◆ NOTE:• The clip select function is available when setup menu No.25(SYSTEM FREQ) is set to 50 or 59.94.• The CLIP SELECT function cannot be applied to clips in a hard disk.• The clip select function does not work in the AVCHD mode.• The CLIP SELECT function is not available on the playlist playerthumbnail screen.• If playback is started immediately after a USB, eSATA or LAN cablewas disconnected and re-connected in the fixed delay mode, videodropouts may occur, or the fixed delay mode may be canceled.• In clip select status, recording, play list, thumbnail screen, switchingdevices and other functions may not be available.• When the CLIP SELECT button is on, the time that elapses frompressing the PLAY button until start of playback is the fixed delay.(Fixed delay)1 Press the SHIFT and CLIP SELECT buttonssimultaneously.The CLIP SELECT button goes off.◆ NOTE:• The clip select status can be canceled only in playback stop mode.• When playback is stopped by pressing the STOP button during theCLIP SELECT mode, or if the CLIP SELECT mode is canceled, thethumbnail screen does not return.Clip Select Setting3 21Canceling Clip Select1
