If EXT is set, recording of TC and UB values onAVCHD clips is permitted.4 Set the audio level.Perform AVCHD playback if required and use the PB levelcontrol to set the audio level for AVCHD clip playback.◆ NOTE:• The recording level control is disabled and recording is madeusing a UNITY level.■ Recording operations1 Display AVCHD thumbnails.➝Refer to “Switching to AVCHD mode” (page 162).2 Use the cursor buttons to select the clip you want todub.To start dubbing midway in the clip, use the PLAY buttonor other button to locate the start position and press theSTILL button to stop.When dubbing is started by a thumbnail, dubbing startsfrom the start of the selected clip.◆ NOTE:• When resume play is activated, dubbing starts from the resumeposition.3 Press the SHIFT + REC button.Recording on the P2 card starts simultaneous with AVCHDclip playback.If the P2 card is not ready for recording or if PB FORMATand SYS FORMAT differ, pressing the SHIFT + RECbuttons will not start operation.4 Use the STOP button to stop dubbing.Stopping P2 card recording stops AVCHD clip playbackand the AVCHD thumbnail screen reappears.◆ NOTE:• During dubbing, recording does not start from the beginning ofan SD memory card.• If input reference signal is not stable during dubbing, dubbedvideo will be distorted.Input stable reference signal, or perform dubbing withoutinputting reference signal (internal reference).
