Others113VQT0W82Dispose of unusable battery.• Batteries have a limited life.• Do not throw batteries into fire because itmay cause an explosion.• Unusable batteries should be discarded inaccordance with battery recycling laws.Call the RBRC hotline at 1-800-822-8837for information.Do not allow battery terminals to comeinto contact with metal objects (such asnecklaces, hairpins etc.).• This can cause short circuiting or heatgeneration and you may be badly burnedif you touch a battery.∫ AC adaptor• If you use the AC adaptor near a radio, theradio reception may be disturbed. Keepthe AC adaptor 1 m (3.28 feet) or moreaway from radios.• When the AC adaptor is in use, it maygenerate whirring sounds. However, this isnot a malfunction.• After use, be sure to disconnect the ACcable from the electrical outlet. (Amaximum of about 0.5 W is used if youleave it connected.)• Keep the terminal of the AC adaptorclean.∫ CardDo not leave the card where thetemperature is high, whereelectromagnetic waves or staticelectricity are easily generated orexposed to direct sunlight.Do not bend or drop the card.• The card may be damaged or therecorded content may be damaged ordeleted.• Put the card in the card case or thestorage bag after use and when storing orcarrying the card.• Do not allow dirt, dust or water to get intothe terminals on the back of the card anddo not touch the terminals with yourfingers.∫ About the recorded data• Recorded data may be damaged or lost ifthe camera breaks down due toinappropriate handling. Matsushita will notbe liable for any damage suffered due toloss of recorded data.∫ About tripodsYou can prevent jitter (camera shake) whenthe shutter speed is slow or you take apicture at close range if you use acommercially available tripod for cameras.• When using a tripod, make sure it is stablewhen the camera is attached to it.• You may not be able to remove the batterywhen using a tripod.• Read the operating instructions for thetripod.∫ About the strap• If you attach a heavy interchangeable lens(more than about 1 kg/35.3 oz) to thecamera body, do not carry the camera bythe strap.
