Adding Contacts to theContact ListYou can register the information of up to 300 contactsin the contact list.Note• If a video conference call is received while datais being entered, a dialogue box to confirm if youanswer a video conference call is displayed.Use [ ][ ] to select "Yes" or "No" and press[Enter].• When "Yes" is selected, you can answer avideo conference call while any unsaveddata is lost.• When "No" is selected, you can continueentering the data.Registering a New ContactRegistering a Single-party Contact1. Press [Menu].• The Menu screen is displayed.2. Use [ ][ ] to select "New Contact" and press[Enter].• The contact list registration screen is displayed.3. Use [ ][ ] to select the following items for input:"Group/Site": Enter a name for the contact (up to24 characters) (Page 116)."Speed Dial": Enter a speed dial number (1–300)."Multi-Point": Use [ ][ ] to select "No"."Address": Enter an IP address, SIP URI (or SIPuser name), H.323 extension, H.323 name, orMCU’s conference room number@IP address."Call Type": Use [ ][ ] to select the call type(SIP or H.323).Note• When entering an IP address, if the IPaddress contains 1 or 2 digit numbers, enterthese numbers as they are. Do not enter like[.001].Example: The IP address is [192.168.0.1].– Correct entry: [192.168.0.1]– Wrong entry: [192.168.000.001]• The characters that can be input are asfollows:SIP user name/H.323 name/MCU’sconference room number: Alphanumericcharacters and the symbols . = * + _ - $! ? / ' ( ) (up to 60 characters)SIP domain name: Alphanumericcharacters and the symbols . and - (up to128 characters)H.323 extension: Numeric characters andthe symbols # and * (up to 20 characters)• If the other party has the same SIP domainname as yours, you can register only theirSIP user name. If the other party has adifferent SIP domain name from yours, theirSIP domain name must be entered alongwith their SIP user name.• If the SIP domain name is not entered, yourown SIP domain name is automaticallyappended to the registered contact. Thismay result in a different, unintended partybeing registered as a contact, so be carefulwhen entering a contact’s information.• Enter a standards-compliant value.For details, contact your networkadministrator.4.
