46Auto setupThis function enables Input search, Auto Keystonecorrection and Auto PC adjustment by pressing the AUTOSETUP button on the top control or the AUTO SET buttonon the remote control. Settings for those functions can bealtered as follows:Input search This function detects the input signal automatically. Whenfinding a signal, the search will stop. Use the Point ◄►buttons to select one of the following.Off . . . . Input search does not work.On1 . . . Input search works under the situation below.• When pressing the AUTO SETUP button on the topcontrol or the AUTO SET button on the remote control.On2 . . . Input search works under the situation below.• When turning on the projector with pressing thePOWER ON/STAND-BY button on the top control oron the remote control.• When pressing the AUTO SETUP button on the topcontrol or the AUTO SET button on the remote control.• When missing the current input signal.• If the No show or Freeze function is active, cancel it toactivate the Input search. It is also unavailable whenOn-Screen menu is displayed.• While Input Search is set On1 or On2, the status ofInput and Lamp mode are displayed every time thesignal is switched.• If any of the COMPUTER 1/2, VIDEO, S-VIDEOor COMPONENT buttons on the remote control, orAUTO SETUP button on the top control is pressedwhile Input search is on, Input search will stop.Auto PC AdjOn . . . . Enables Auto PC Adjustment when pressing theAUTO SETUP button on the top control.Off . . . . Disables Auto PC Adjustment.Auto KeystoneAuto . . . Always works and corrects keystone distortionaccording to the projector's tilt.Manual . Works only when pressing the AUTO SETUPbutton on the top control or the AUTO SETbutton on the remote control.Off . . . . Disables Auto Keystone.Notes:• Input search, Auto PC Adj. and AutoKeystone cannot be set "Off" at thesame time.• Auto Keystone adjusts automaticallyby pressing the AUTO SETUP buttoneither it is set on "Auto" or "Manual" insetting menu.• A u t o K e y s t o n e c o r r e c t s v e r t i c a ldistortion only, not correct horizontaldistortion.• T h e A u t o K e y s t o n e c a n n o t w o r kwhen Ceiling feature is set "On" in theSetting menu (p.50).• P e r f e c t c o r r e c t i o n o f t h e i m a g edistortion cannot be ensured with theAuto setup function. If the distortion isnot corrected properly by pressing theAUTO SETUP button, adjust manuallyby pressing the KEYSTONE buttonon the remote control or selectingKeystone in the Setting menu (pp.22,24, 47).• Fine sync, Total dots, Horizontal andVertical position of some computerscannot be fully adjusted with the AutoPC Adjustment function.
