After using ade-icing agent, have the locksregreased. Seek the assistance of aworkshop.Washing the vehicleThe paintwork of your vehicle isexposed to environmental influences,e.g. continuous changes in weatherconditions, industrial waste gasesand dust or thawing salts, so washand wax your vehicle regularly. Whenusing automatic car washes, select aprogram which includes waxing.Bird droppings, dead insects, resin,pollen and the like should be cleanedoff immediately, as they containaggressive constituents which cancause paint damage.If using a car wash, comply with thepertinent instructions of the car washmanufacturer. The windscreen wiperand rear window wiper must beswitched off 3 5-2, 5-3. Removedetachable rod antenna byunscrewing it.Do not use high-pressure jetcleaners.If you wash your vehicle by hand,make sure that the insides of thewings are also thoroughly rinsed out.Do not use household dishwashingliquid, to avoid removing wax from thepaintwork.Clean edges and folds on openeddoors and flaps as well as the areasthey cover.Thoroughly rinse off and leather-offthe vehicle. Rinse leather frequently.Use separate leathers for paint andwindow surfaces; remnants of wax onthe windows will impair vision.Also wash aluminium trim parts,avoiding the use of abrasivematerials such as automotive orchrome polish, steam or causticsoap. Washing with water is normallysufficient.Observe national regulations.Exterior lamps/lensesHeadlamp and other protective lampbezels are made of plastic. If theyrequire additional cleaning after thevehicle has been washed, clean themwith Car Shampoo. Do not use anyabrasive or caustic agents, do notuse an ice scraper, and do not cleanthem dry.WaxingWax your vehicle regularly, inparticular after it has been washedusing Car Shampoo and at the latestwhen water no longer forms beads onthe paintwork, otherwise thepaintwork will dry out.Also wax aluminium trim parts, edgesand folds on opened doors and flapsas well as the areas they cover.
