The vehicle’s brakesystem may remain operationalwithout ABS regulation.If it illuminates during driving alongwith brake system control indicatorR, there is a serious fault in thebrake system. Seek the assistance ofa workshop immediately, to have thesystem checked.Further information 3 9-9.2 Power steeringWill illuminate in yellow when ignitionis switched on. Extinguishes afterengine is started.If it does not illuminate when theignition is switched on, stays lit orilluminates during driving, there is afault in the system. Seek theassistance of a workshop as soon aspossible.TCSS OFF Traction ControlSupport System off 3Will illuminate briefly in yellow whenthe ignition is switched on.When the TCSS OFF switch (locatedon the lower instrument panel) ispressed, the control indicatorilluminates. The traction controlaspect of the Electronic StabilityProgram (ESP® ) is switched off.With ESP ® active, if wheels areslipping on wet, snowy or icy roads,the traction control aspect of ESP ®may switch off automatically and thecontrol indicator will illuminate. It willextinguish automatically whenprevailing road conditions improve.Further information 3 9-11.R Electronic StabilityProgram (ESP®) active 3Will illuminate briefly in yellow whenthe ignition is switched on.If it stays lit or illuminates duringdriving, there may be a fault withESP® . Seek the assistance of aworkshop.If it flashes 5 times per second whenthe engine is running, the system hascome into action. The engine outputmay be reduced (the sound of theengine changes) and the vehicle maybe braked automatically to a smalldegree.If it remains illuminated whilst driving,there may be a fault with ESP ® . Thevehicle’s brake system remainsoperational without ESP ® regulation.Seek the assistance of a workshop tohave the cause of the fault remedied.If the vehicle’s battery has beendisconnected and reconnected,ESP® is deactivated and the controlindicator flashes once per second.Reactivate ESP® by driving in astraight line at over 9 mph (15 km/h)for a few seconds until flashingceases.Further information 3 9-10.ESP Electronic StabilityProgram (ESP®) fault 3Will illuminate briefly in yellow whenthe ignition is switched on.
