DOCUCOLOR 12 USER GUIDE 6–19 IMAGE QUALITY1234567Colour Shift/SaturationThe Colour Shift/Saturation feature (Figure 25)allows you to shift all copy colours toward theadjacent hue as well as to adjust the overallrichness of colour on the output copy.Colour ShiftColour shift is useful when the original does nothave quite the correct colours for your needs. Bytouching one of the Colour Shift buttons, you cancause the overall copy colours to be shifted.The illustration on the Colour Shift/Saturationscreen helps you anticipate the results of therequested shift. The top bar illustrates therelationship between colours and adjacent hues.The lower bar shifts to the left or right to reflectyour choice. When Normal is selected, the lowerbar is centred below the upper bar. Figure 26illustrates the Normal setting.If you select one of the Warm buttons, the redcolours shift toward the yellow hue, the greencolours shift toward the cyan hue, and the bluecolours shift toward the magenta hue. The lowerbar shifts to the right. All colours in between theseoriginal colours also shift in the same direction.Figure 27 illustrates the Warm setting.To continue the example, if you select one of theCool buttons, the red colours shift toward themagenta hue, the blue colours shift toward thecyan hue, and the green colours shift toward theyellow hue. The lower bar shifts to the left. Again,all colours in between these original documentcolours also shift in the same direction.
