P a p e r H a n d l i n g2-32 v D o c u P r i n t 4 5 1 7 / 4 5 1 7 m p U s e r G u i d eUsing theOffset CatchTray (OCT)The Offset Catch Tray (Figure 2.7)—hereafter referred to asOCT—is an optional output device available for theDocuPrint 4517.(See Appendix A for ordering information and Appendix Cfor installation instructions.)After installing the OCT, submit your print jobs as usual.You can set the OCT to operate in three different manners:• Set the Output Bin option (in both the PCL Emulat andPostScript menus) to OCT No Offset, and the OCT will notoffset jobs.• Set the Output Bin option to OCT On Job, and the OCTwill offset jobs from one another.• Set the Output Bin option to OCT On Job/Copy, and theOCT will offset jobs from one another. It will also offseteach set of copies of individual pages of an uncollatedmultiple copy job.With the OCT installed, the standard output tray stillfunctions normally. The OCT gives you approximately500 sheets of letter/A4 20 lb (75 g/m 2) maximum collatedoutput.
