Using Menu Selection 45, this control may be changed to function as a Squelchcontrol, which may be used to silence background noise when no signal is present. Inthe other versions, its default setting is set to “Squelch.”LOCK KeyPressing this key locks the front panel keys so as to prevent accidental frequency change.V/M KeyPressing this key switches frequency control between the VFO and Memory Systems.TRANSMIT/BUSY IndicatorThis LED glows green when the squelch opens, and turns red during transmit.
