In addition, have the oil sealsof the master cylinders and calipers aswell as the brake hoses replaced at theintervals listed below or whenever theyare damaged or leaking. Oil seals: Replace every twoyears. Place the motorcycle on the sides-tand.TIPWhen checking and adjusting the drivechain slack, there should be no weighton the motorcycle.2. Shift the transmission into the neu-tral position.3. Measure the drive chain slack asshown.4. If the drive chain slack is incorrect,adjust it as follows. NOTICE: Im-proper drive chain slack willoverload the engine as well asother vital parts of the motorcy-cle and can lead to chain slip-page or breakage. If the drivechain slack is more than 25.0mm (0.98 in), the chain can dam-age the frame, swingarm, andother parts.
