Configuring Basic Features27107.Local Web User InterfaceChange the administratorpassword.Navigate to:http:///cgi-bin/ConfigManApp.com?Id=8To change the administrator password via web user interface:1. Click on Security.2. Mark the admin radio box.3. Enter the current administrator password in the Current Password field.4. Enter a new password in the New Password and Confirm Password fields.5. Click Confirm to save the change.A user or administrator can lock the IP phone to prevent it from unauthorized use. Oncethe IP phone is locked, the user or administrator needs to enter the password to unlockthe phone. The default unlock password is ―123‖. You can change the unlock passwordand configure the interval to automatically lock the phone. The phone supports numericcharacters only in unlock passwords. The maximum length of the password is 15characters. You can configure a DSS key to be keypad lock key. After enabling thephone lock feature, the phone is locked after a configured period of inactivity. You canlong press the pound key or press the keypad lock key on the idle screen to lock thephone immediately. You are only allowed to dial out the emergency numbers when thephone is locked. You can specify one or more emergency numbers for the IP phone.There are four types of "locks" that can apply to the IP phone: Menu Key: The Menu key is locked. You cannot access the menu of the IP phoneuntil unlocked. Function Keys: The function keys are locked. All Keys: All keys are locked except the Volume key. The IP phone can only dial outemergency numbers and answer incoming calls by lifting the handset, pressing theSpeakerphone key, pressing the HEADSET key or pressing the OK key. Lock&Answer: All keys are locked, except the Menu key, the HEADSET key and theVolume key. The IP phone can automatically answer the incoming calls and placethe previous conversation (if one) on hold, but cannot end the call.
