Resource Files83When configuring some features, you may need to upload resource files to the IP phone.The resources files can be local contact directory, remote phonebook and so on. If theresource file is to be used for a system of IP phones, the access URL of the resource file isbest specified in the .cfg file. However, if you want to specify thedesired phone to use the resource file, the access URL of the resource file is bestspecified in the .cfg file.This chapter will provide the detailed information on how to work with the followingresource files and specify the access URL: Replace Rule Template Dial-now Template Local Contact File Remote XML Phonebook Specifying the Access URL of Resource FilesYou can create multiple replace rules using the replace rule template. After creating thereplace rule template, save the replace rule template to the root directory of theconfiguration server and specify the access URL in the configuration files.When creating a replace rule template, remember the following: A replace rule template must be in .xml format. indicates the start of a template and indicates the end ofa template. At most 20 replace rules can be added to the IP phone. The expression syntax in the replace rule template is the same as introduced in thesection Creating Dial Plan on page 21. Specify the values within double quotes. When specifying the desired line(s) for the replace rule, the valid values are 0 andline ID. 0 stands for all lines, multiple line IDs are separated by comma.
