Click on Network->Advanced.2. Select Enabled from the pull-down list of Active.3. Enter the desired port in the Port filed.4. Enter IP address(es) in the Trusted Address field.5. Click Confirm to save the change.The IP phone prompts reboot to make the settings effective.The IP phone supports the IEEE 802.1X authentication. The 802.1X authentication is anIEEE Standard for Port-based Network Access Control (PNAC). It is part of the IEEE 802.1group of networking protocols. It provides an authentication mechanism to deviceswishing to attach to a LAN or WLAN. The 802.1X authentication involves three parties: asupplicant, an authenticator and an authentication server. The supplicant is the IP phonethat wishes to attach to the LAN or WLAN. With 802.1X port-based authentication, the IPphone provides credentials, such as a user name and password, to the authenticator,and then the authenticator forwards the credentials to the authentication server forverification. If the authentication server determines the credentials are valid, the IPphone is allowed to access resources located on the protected side of the network.The IP phone supports using the EAP-MD5, EAP-TLS, PEAP-MSCHAPV2 protocols for802.1X authentication.Procedure802.1X authentication can be configured using the configuration files or locally.Configuration File .cfgConfigure the 802.1X on the IPphone.For more information, refer to
