To transfer a call from an analog telephone, you must depressthe hook switch briefly to obtain dial tone, and then dial the extensionto which you want to transfer the call and hang up.■ By using feature codes, you can create conference calls and forwardcalls using your analog telephone. See the NBX Feature Codes Guidein the NBX NetSet utility.■ Configuring an ATA or an ATC port for fax operation optimizes theperformance for inbound and outbound faxes but compromises audioquality. If you make a voice call using the ATA device (for example, ifyou use the telephone portion of the fax machine), the quality of theaudio may be affected. If you make a VTL call using the ATA device,the audio may be unusable.Adding an AnalogTerminal CardTo add an Analog Terminal Card to the NBX system:1 In the NBX NetSet - Main Menu window, click System Configuration. TheSystem Configuration dialog box appears.2 Click System-wide. The System Settings — System-wide dialog boxappears.3 Clear all check boxes associated with Auto Discover.4 Click the Auto Discover Telephones check box to select it.The Auto Discover Telephones check box enables and disables the AutoDiscover process for Analog Terminal Cards, Analog Terminal Adapters,and 3Com Telephones.5 Click OK.
