If your DHCP server is set up to use option184, you must still manually configure these digital line cards. See theNBX Administrator’s Guide for more information.RFC 2132 (DHCP Options and BOOTP Vendor Extensions) defines vendorspecific options that allow you to configure the server to send locallydefined information to DHCP clients. NBX system devices support option184. If you create and activate option 184 on your DHCP server, and useit to specify the IP address of the NCP, you do not need to manuallyconfigure the address on the NBX devices.
