B-1BTroubleshooting TipsThis appendix explains how to troubleshoot problems with yourDuraLAN NIC. If your NIC is not functioning properly, first makesure that it was set up according to the instructions in this User’sGuide. Verify that your NIC is installed properly and configuredcorrectly; see Chapter 2, DuraLAN NIC Installation on page 2-1. Verify that your network is properly cabled and the NIC isproperly connected; see Connecting the Network Cable on page 2-4and Appendix A, Cables and LEDs on page A-1. Verify that the DuraLAN driver is installed correctly; seeChapter 2, DuraLAN NIC Installation on page 2-1. Verify that you are using the latest BIOS for your computer andthe latest DuraLAN driver. Verify that your cable, terminators, and connectors arefunctioning properly, or install the NIC in a different slot.
