AXIS M5065 PTZ Network CameraAbout PTZ (Pan Tilt Zoom)OSDI zones are set up under PTZ > OSDI Zones. The Axis product uses the coordinates of the center of the view to set the lowerleft and upper right zone areas. First navigate to where you would like the lowermost left point of the OSDI zone to be located.Click Get to set the coordinates. Proceed to where the upper right point of zone should be located and click Get. Give the zone adescriptive name and click OK.To include the name of the OSDI zone in the overlay text, go to Video & Audio < Video Stream < Overlay Settings. Check theInclude text box and enter the modifier #L in the field. For more information about modifiers, see File Naming & Date/TimeFormats in the online help .AdvancedLimitsDefine the pan, tilt, zoom and focus limits for the Axis product. Movements to the left and right, up and down, can be restricted tonarrow the area under surveillance.Move speed sets the speed of the camera’s pan and tilt movements. The default setting is maximum speed.Select Enable adjustable zoom speed to use variable speeds when controlling the zoom with for example a joystick or a mouse wheel.The zoom speed is automatically set through the command continuouszoommove in the VAPIX® Application ProgrammingInterface (API). Deselect the feature to use the highest zoom speed which is the same speed for moving to presets.When using a joystick (or emulating one with the mouse) the Enable proportional speed setting can be used to reduce the maximumpan/tilt movement speed, i.e. the speed the camera view moves at when the joystick is pushed all the way out in any direction. This isuseful then the view is zoomed in on an object.See the online help for more information.About advanced PTZ settingsAdvanced PTZ settings can be configured under PTZ > Advanced > Controls.The Panel Shortcut Command Buttons list shows the user-defined buttons that can be accessed from the Live View page’s Ctrlpanel. These buttons can be used to provide direct access to commands issued using the VAPIX® application programming interface.Click Add to add a new shortcut command button.The following PTZ controls are enabled by default:• Pan control• Tilt control• Zoom control• Focus controlTo disable specific controls, deselect the options under Enable/Disable controls.NoteDisabling PTZ controls will not affect preset positions. For example, if the tilt control is disabled, the product can still move topreset positions that require a tilt movement.About the control queueNote• The administrator can enable and disable PTZ controls for selected users.• To identify different users in the viewer group, cookies must be enabled on the client.• The Control queue polltime is measured in seconds.
