Transmission TemperatureWhen the transmissiontemperature displays youwill see the transmissiontemperature symbol. The temperature displays in degrees Fahrenheit orCelsius with a graph beneath the reading. If the graphshows the temperature in the shaded area all the way onthe right, then the transmission temperature is hot.See DIC Warnings and Messages on page 3-61 andManual Transmission Fluid on page 5-24 for moreinformation.Tire PressureWhen the tire pressure is displayed you will see avehicle in the display. The numbers in each cornerrepresent the tire pressure for the corresponding tire. The tire pressure will be displayed in psi or kPa.If any of the tires are blinking on the vehicle in thedisplay, this means that the tire pressure in that tire iseither high or low. See Tire Pressure Monitor System onpage 5-68 for more information.Lateral AccelerationLateral acceleration is a measure of how hard youare taking a corner. For example, when you are turningright you will feel your body push to the left. Thisforce is measured in a “g”. This gage will display from0.00 g to 1.2 g. The lowest reading means there isno lateral acceleration. The highest reading means theforce the driver is feeling is 1.2 times the accelerationdue to gravity. When (B) is pressed and held while the LateralAcceleration display is being shown, the peak holdvalues—both tick marks and numbers—will be resetto zero.Warning MessagesThe warning messages that are described in thefollowing text are also shown in the tachometer display. While any warning messages are shown, pressing (A)or (B) will acknowledge the warning and then display thegage relating to the message. For instance, if a tire isbelow the minimum recommended pressure, the tirepressure warning message will blink on and off (five timesfor a low tire warning, continuously for a flat tire warning). The driver can go to the tire pressure display immediatelyby pressing either button on the outboard switch.3-49
