Disengaging Adaptive Cruise ControlTo disengage the system, apply the brake pedal, pressthe cancel button, or press the Adaptive CruiseControl button.Erasing Set Speed MemoryWhen you press the Adaptive Cruise Control button orturn the ignition off, the set speed memory is erased.Other MessagesThere are three additional messages that may appearon the DIC. They are SERVICE RADAR CRUISE,RADAR CRUISE NOT READY and CLEAN RADAR.These messages will appear to indicate a problem withthe Adaptive Cruise Control. See DIC Warnings andMessages on page 3-76 for more information.Cleaning the SystemThe radar can become blocked by snow, ice, or dirt. Ifso, you may need to turn off the engine and cleanthe lens. Remember, do not use Adaptive Cruise Controlin icy conditions, or when visibility is low, such as infog, rain or snow.The emblem/lens is located in the center of the grille.To clean the emblem/lens, wipe the surface with asoft cloth. After cleaning the emblem/lens, try to engagethe Adaptive Cruise Control. If you are unable to doso, see your dealer.Exterior LampsThe exterior lamps controlis located on theinstrument panel to the leftof the steering wheel.It controls the following systems:• Headlamps• Taillamps• Parking Lamps• License Plate Lamps• Instrument Panel Lights• Fog LampsThe exterior lamps control has four positions:9(Off): Turn the control to this position to turn off theexterior lamps except for Daytime Running Lamps (DRL).3-30
