Trunk{CAUTION:It can be dangerous to drive with the trunk lidopen because carbon monoxide (CO) gas cancome into your vehicle. You cannot see orsmell CO. It can cause unconsciousness andeven death. If you must drive with the trunk lidopen or if electrical wiring or other cableconnections must pass through the sealbetween the body and the trunk lid:• Make sure all other windows are shut.• Turn the fan on your heating or coolingsystem to its highest speed and select thecontrol setting that will force outside airinto your vehicle. See Climate ControlSystem.• If you have air outlets on or under theinstrument panel, open them all the way.See Engine Exhaust on page 2-33.Remote Trunk ReleaseG (Remote Trunk Release): The remote trunkrelease button is located to the left of the steering wheelnext to the instrument panel brightness control. Pressthe button to open the trunk. To use this feature,your vehicle must be in PARK (P) or NEUTRAL (N) andthe valet lockout switch must be off.You can also press the button with the trunk symbol onthe remote keyless entry transmitter to open thetrunk.
