Damagecould be caused to the rear axleand would not be covered by thevehicle warranty.Do not drive as long or as fast thefirst time the vehicle is driven onthe track or raced.CTS-V Only: Be sure to check theoil level often during racing, tracktesting or other competitive drivingand keep the level at or near theupper mark that shows the properoperating range on the engine oildipstick.For track testing and competitivedriving, it is recommended that thebrake fluid be replaced with a highperformance brake fluid that has adry boiling point greater than 279°C(534°F). After conversion to thehigh performance brake fluid, followthe brake fluid servicerecommendations outlined by thefluid manufacturer. Do not usesilicone or DOT-5 brake fluids.HF V6 Engine Only: Be sure tocheck the oil level often duringracing, track testing or othercompetitive driving and keep thelevel at or near 0.5 L (0.5 qt) abovethe upper mark that shows theproper operating range on theengine oil dipstick. For racing, tracktesting or other competitive drivingan engine oil cooler must beinstalled.Driving on Wet RoadsRain and wet roads can reducevehicle traction and affect yourability to stop and accelerate.Always drive slower in these typesof driving conditions and avoiddriving through large puddles anddeep‐standing or flowing water.
