If printing is in progress and you want to continue printing,press the machine's Stop button for at least 5 seconds withthe ink cartridge installed. Then printing can continue underthe ink out condition.The function for detecting the remaining ink level will bedisabled.Replace the empty ink cartridge immediately after theprinting. The resulting print quality is not satisfactory, ifprinting is continued under the ink out condition.NoteIf the function for detecting the remaining ink level isdisabled, the ink cartridge in grey is displayed in theremaining ink volume screen on the LCD.Routine MaintenanceSince the information contained in the fax may be lost ifit is printed in this condition, the received fax will not beprinted and will be stored in memory until the inkcartridge is replaced. You must manually print out faxesthat were stored in memory. You can change the settingso that the received fax is forcibly printed out instead ofbeing stored in memory, but all or part of the faxinformation may not be printed because of the ink outcondition.Data of supported types are not saved. There is no image data or document saved on thememory card or USB flash drive that can be read by thismachine.The machine may not recognize the file if the file name orfolder path contain certain characters. Use onlyalphanumeric characters.Photo data edited or processed on a computer must beprinted from the computer.NoteWhen a photo which has been processed on acomputer is selected, "?" is displayed on the LCD.Cannot print the specified PDF file. Theformat is not supported or the file is toolarge.Make sure the PDF file is printable from a memory cardor USB flash drive. Refer to Printing PDF File Saved on aMemory Card or Printing PDF File Saved on a USB FlashDrive for more information.NoteThe names of the PDF files are displayed eventhough they cannot be printed from the memory cardor USB flash drive. It is recommended you confirmwhether they are printable.
