The higher thesetting, the faster the transmission. If you experience problems whensending faxes, try a lower speed setting. The default is 14,400 bps.Pause DurationYou can set the length of the pause that you may have to insert whendialing a long distance number. The default is 2 seconds.Error Correction (ECM)You can select this option to reduce system and line errors when sendinga fax. With this option selected, the system checks each outgoing fax forlost data. If data has been lost from a portion of a page, the systemtransmits that portion again after confirming that all data within thatportion can be transmitted successfully. The default is ECM enabled.
