Radius Commands 301Radius Commandsradius-server hostThe radius-server host Global Configuration mode command specifies a RADIUS server host.Use the no form of this command to delete the specified RADIUS host.Syntax• radius-server host {ip-address | hostname} [auth-port auth-port-number] [timeout timeout][retransmit retransmit] [deadtime deadtime] [key key] [source source] [priority priority] [usagetype]no radius-server host ip-address• ip-address — IP address of the RADIUS server host.• hostname — Hostname of the RADIUS server host. (Range: 1 - 158 characters)• auth-port-number — Port number for authentication requests. The host is not used forauthentication if set to 0. If unspecified, the port number defaults to 1812. (Range: 0 - 65535)• timeout — Specifies the timeout value in seconds. If no timeout value is specified, the globalvalue is used. (Range: 1 - 30)• retransmit — Specifies the re-transmit value. If no re-transmit value is specified, the globalvalue is used. (Range: 1 - 10)• deadtime — Length of time, in minutes, for which a RADIUS server is skipped over bytransaction requests. (Range: 0 - 2000)• key — Specifies the authentication and encryption key for all RADIUS communicationsbetween the device and the RADIUS server. This key must match the encryption used on theRADIUS daemon. If no key value is specified, the global value is used. (Range: 1 - 128characters)• source — Specifies the source IP address to use for the communication. If no retransmit valueis specified, the global value is used. 0.0.0.0 is interpreted as request to use the IP address ofthe outgoing IP interface.• priority — Determines the order in which the servers are used, where 0 is the highest priority.(Range: 0 - 65535)• type — Specifies the usage type of the server.
