Installing the fieldbus connectionInstalling the fieldbus connectionAn RJ45 plug is used in order to establish a connection to theEtherNet/IP fieldbus. Generally, connection cables with RJ45 plugsfor EtherNet/IP are available as standard ready-for-use cables. Theycan also be prepared individually. This will require the connectionsshown below (pinout).Install fieldbusWhen installing the connection, make sure that the control andsignal cables (0–10 V, 4–20 mA, 24 Vdc, etc.), as well as the fieldbussystem’s (EtherNet/IP) connection cables, are not routed directlyparallel to mains connection or motor connection cables conveyingpower. With parallel cable routing, the clearances between control, signal and fieldbus cables and energy-carrying mains and motorcables must be greater than 30 cm. Cables should alwaysintersect at right angles.Figure 6. Installing the fieldbusIf the system requires a parallel routing in cable ducts, a partitionmust be installed between the fieldbus cable and the mains andmotor cable , in order to prevent electromagnetic interference onthe fieldbus.Figure 7.
