7User Manual MN040024ENEffective November 2016DX-NET-ETHERNET2-2 field bus connectionEtherNet/IP for variable frequency drive DE1/DC1EATON www.eaton.comCommissioningDE1/DC1 variable frequency drivesx First of all complete all measures for commissioning the DE1/DC1variable frequency drive as described in the respective manual.x Check the settings and installations for the connection to theEtherNet/IP fieldbus system which are described in this manual.NOTICE: Make sure that there is no danger in starting the motor.Disconnect the driven machine if there is a danger in an incorrectoperating state.x For communications, parameter P-12 (drive control) must beset as follows in the DE1 variable frequency drive: P12 = 3.In addition P-34 (PDP Address needs to be set to 1 and theP-35 (baud Rate) should be at 4 (115.2 kbit/s).x For communications, parameter P-12 (drive control) must be setas follows in the DC1 variable frequency drive: P12 = 3 or 4. Inaddition P-36 (PDP Address needs to be set to 1 and the P-36(baud Rate) should be at 4 (115.2 kbit/s). If using PDI Accel Timefor adjusting ramp time, P-12 should be set to 4.For detailed information on how to configure parameters, pleaserefer to user manual.EDS fileThe properties of an EtherNet/IP card are described in thecorresponding EDS file. This file is required in order to be able tointegrate a DC1/DE1 variable frequency drive into an EtherNet/IPnetwork. The EDS file, named “DX-NET-ETHERNET2-2“, can be foundon the Internet at: www.eaton.com/drives A OEM A DC1 orDE1 A DownloadsEngineering the moduleThe following instructions explain how to configure thecommunication module with a DE1/DC1 variable frequency drive.x Then connect the device to the EtherNet/IP environment. You will need the following components to do so:• Head-end controller• Computer (for programming and configuration purposes)• DE1/DC1 variable frequency drive with DX-NET-ETHERNET2-2connectionFigure 8. Engineering the module1 PC (with configuration tool)2 Head controller (I/O controller)3 Switch4 EtherNet/IP cable5 DE1/DC-1 variable frequency drives6 Motorx Switch the device on (turn on the power supply!).x Now configure the project. (For information on a detailedconfiguration, please consult the manual provided by the PLC’smanufacturer.)x Check the LED indicators. The head-end controller must recognize the device address and themodule must light up green. See “LED indicators” on page 5.EnableThere must always be a “HIGH” signal at DI1 on the DE1 or theDC1 Enhanced VFD.
