System Options MenuPage 77Ext DC Fail ReportingThis determines how the control unit monitors the DC supply input.OnThe DC supply is monitored. A loss of supply is reported according to Ext DC FailDelay, as described next.OffThe DC supply is not monitored.Ext DC Fail DelayThis option allows you to specify the length of time (0 to 60 minutes) that the control unitmust wait after detecting a DC supply failure before generating an alert tone and reportingExt DC Fail to the ARC.As soon as the DC supply fails (and Ext DC Fail Reporting is enabled), the control unitlights the red alert LEDs around the navigation key. Note: The control unit does not showalerts while the system is set.If Ext DC Fail Delay is set to 0, the control unit starts an alert tone nine seconds after thepower interruption. If Ext DC Fail Delay is set to 1-60 minutes, the control unit starts analert tone the specified number of minutes after the power interruption. At the same time as the alert tone, the control unit communicates an Ext DC Fail to theARC and activates any outputs of type General Fault. If power is restored before the alert tone, the control unit switches off the alert, logs Ext DCRestore and sends no report to the ARC.A user can silence the alert by entering a valid access code. The control unit displaysdetails of the alert. General Fault outputs remain active.Once the DC supply is restored, the control unit logs Ext DC Restore. A user can reset thealert and deactivate any General Fault outputs by pressing entering the access codeagain.Battery 2This option enables or disables alert reporting for the optional second backup battery inthe control unit.EnabledThe control unit starts an alert if battery 2 is missing or has low voltage.DisabledThe control unit ignores the presence or absence of battery 2.GSM AntennaThis option is visible only if a GSM plug-on module is fitted.InternalThe module uses its built-in antenna.ExternalThe module uses an external antenna fitted to the underside of the PCB.
