Setting Navigation and SonarAlarmsThe Alarms page allows you to set navigationand sonar alarms. When an alarm goes off, theunit beeps five times and displays a message.To set an alarm:1. Press MENU twice to open the Main Menu.2. Highlight Alarms and press ENTER.3. Press the Rocker key Right or Left to open theNavigation or Sonar Alarms page.4. Make the desired changes to the alarms.Navigation AlarmsNext Turn—sets an alarm to indicate the next turnin a route. Select Dist or Timeto enter a specific distance/timebefore you reach the next turn tosound the alarm.Arrival—sets an alarm to soundwhen you are a specified distanceor time away from a destinationwaypoint.Off Course—sets an alarm if you are off your desiredcourse. Place a check mark in the box and enter a dis-tance.Anchor Drag—sets an alarm to sound when youhave exceeded a specified drift distance. Place a checkmark in the box and enter a distance.Sonar AlarmsShallow Water/Deep Water—sets an alarm to soundwhen you enter an area of water that is too shallowor deep. Place a check mark in the box and enter adistance. You must be receiving sonar NMEA data forthis function to work.Speed Filter—allows the unit to average speed read-ings. If you select User, entera time period to wait betweenspeed readings.
