Theroller wheels may be damaged ifthe idler wheel axle mountingfasteners are not flush with thecolumn.18 Install the mast assembly on the base.19 Adjust the lifting chains. Refer to RepairProcedure, How to Adjust the Lifting Chains.Note: IWPS Models: Adjust the base release cable.Refer to Repair Procedure, How to Adjust the BaseRelease Cable.5-3 Glide Pads5-3Glide PadsHow to Adjust the Glide Pads1 Fully lower the platform.2 Turn the key switch off and remove the key.3 Locate the upper and lower glide padadjustment bolts below each upper roller bolton both sides of each column.4 Hold the glide pad bolt and loosen the lock nuton all the glide pads.5 Turn all the glide pad adjustment boltclockwise until the glide pad makes contactwith the column. Adjust the slide pads on bothsides of all column mast. Be sure the sides ofthe columns are even to within 1/8 inch / 3.17mm of each other.6 Starting at the number 1 column, torque theupper and lower glide pad bolts to 12 in-lbs /1.35 Nm. Hold the glide pad adjustment boltand tighten the lock nut. Be sure the glide padbolt does not turn.7 Repeat step 5 for each remaining upper andlower glide pad on both sides of the mast.Start at the number 1 column and work towardthe carriage.8 Repeat step 5 for all of the upper and lowerglide pads.Note: Make sure glide pad bolts are adjustedevenly on each side to maintain squareness of thecolumns.
