5 GPS OPERATION5-24■ GPS Logger functionThe GPS Logger function enables you to save the position data from a GPS receiveronto a microSD card as a log. The GPS Logger saves Latitude, Longitude, Altitude,Positioning state, Course, Speed, Date, and Time. If you use this GPS Logger whiledriving, you can check your driving history on a mapping application.L The GPS Logger function is set to ON as the default setting.D GPS Logger operating outlineTo use the GPS Logger function, do the following:1. Insert a microSD card (User supplied).2. Confirm that the GPS receiver is receiving your position data. (p. 5-4)3. Turn ON the GPS Logger function.↓Completed.You can start using the GPS Logger function.NOTE:• The GPS Logger function requires a microSD card (User supplied).• Once the GPS Logger function is turned ON, the receiver continuously saves position datafrom the GPS receiver, even if the receiver is turned OFF, then ON again. To cancel thisfunction, turn it OFF. While this function is ON, and when the receiver is turned OFF, thelog file will be closed. When the receiver is turned ON and Positioning is carried out by theGPS receiver, a new log file will be created.• When the microSD card is full, this function is automatically paused.• While the GPS Logger is activated, you cannot use the receiver in the SD Card mode.TIP: Using the <> modeThe receiver has an exclusive GPS Logger mode where only the GPS Loggerfunctions. This mode is useful when you are traveling and do not want to use thereceiver for listening, but you do want to use just the GPS Logger.See page 5-28 for details.
