26 CFS/CCS-BA-e-18258 Parts countingBefore the balance can count parts, it must know the average part weight (i.e.reference). Proceed by putting on a certain number of the parts to be counted. Thebalance determines the total weight and divides it by the number of parts, the so-called reference quantity. Counting is then carried out on the basis of the calculatedaverage piece weight.As a rule:The higher the reference quantity the higher the counting exactness. The average piece weight can only be determined by stable weighingvalues. If weighing values are under zero, the piece counter display shows anegative number of items. The precision of the average unit weight can be increased at any timewhile units are being counter by inputting the displayed number of unitsand confirming by or (in CFS 50K-3 models).
