— 21 —Playing CDs:A press of the release button causes the faceplate to drop tothe front, thereby exposing the CD slot.Holding the CD with the labeled side facing up, insert it in theslot. The CD will start playing. Push back on the right side ofthe faceplate with your hand until it locks.The ¢ indicator will light when a CD has been inserted.When inserting a CD, make sure the CD has been completelydrawn in before pushing back the faceplate. Failing to do somight scratch the CD.Playing CDs Already Inserted:Press the SRC button repeatedly until the CD mode isobtained."CD" is displayed when the CD mode has been selected.The CD will start playing.Pausing and Restarting CD Play:Press the 38 button to make the disc pause.Press the same button again to start play again.Eject:Press the release button and dropopen the faceplate.Press the 0 button located nearthe CD slot.The CD stops playing and ejectsfrom the slot.Push back on the right side of thefaceplate with your hand until itlocks.• Do not attempt to insert a CD into the slot if another one isalready there.• The unit can only play 12-cm (5-inch) CDs. If you insert an 8-cm(3-inch) CD, it will get stuck inside and can cause the unit tomalfunction.• When the faceplate has been dropped open, it might interferewith the shift lever or something else.
