Utilities and Tests 10-3You must reset the system whenever you reconfigure the NetopiaISDN Router and want the new parameter values to take effect.Under certain circumstances, resetting the system may also clearup system or network malfunctions.The ISDN loopback testThe ISDN loopback test is designed to confirm the existence of aworking ISDN line and the proper configuration of certain NetopiaISDN Router parameters.Using the first B-channel, the test calls the Netopia ISDN Router onthe second B-channel, creating a call loop back to the unit.To run the ISDN loopback test, select ISDN Switch Loopback Testin the Statistics, Utilities, Tests screen and press Return to theISDN Switch Loopback Test screen.ISDN Switch Loopback TestRun Test NowStatus: UntestedSelect Run Test Now and press Return. The loopback test isexecuted immediately.Note: Make sure neither B-channel is in use before you execute theloopback test.The Status item reports one of three results:Untested: The loopback test has not yet been run.Loopback Test FAILED: The loopback test has failed.
