3-4 Netopia ISDN Router Reference GuideConnecting to an Ethernet networkThe Netopia ISDN Router supports an Ethernet connection to its AUIor EtherWave ports. The Router’s autosensing feature eliminatesthe need for a switch; connection to the AUI or EtherWave ports isautomatically detected and the connected port is used.You can connect several types of Ethernet networks you can connectto the Netopia ISDN Router. Most are distinguished by the type ofcable they use. The table below displays some important attributesof four types of Ethernet.Caution! Donot connect to both the AUI and EtherWave ports. Connect toeither the AUI portor to the EtherWave ports.
