A CCESS G ATEWAY84 System AdministrationClass-Based QueueingNomadix Class-Based Queueing provides a flexible way to control the bandwidth provided to individualgroups of users (classes). Classes have both maximum and minimum bandwidth specifications.You can add users to classes and apply attributes across entire classes. Each class has 3 configurableattributes: Priority Minimum Bandwidth Maximum BandwidthFor additional details, see Class-Based Queueing on page 9.To Enable and Configure Class-Based Queueing1. Click Configuration > Class Based Queueing. The Class Based Queueing screen appears.2. Click Enable and then Save to enable Class-Based Queueing.3. Click Add Class to add a class. Class names are case-sensitive. “Dot” notation (e.g., class>.) is used to associate top-level classes and subclasses.• Subscribers can only be assigned to sub-classes.• Sub-classes cannot access bandwidth greater than their assigned WANlink.• Top-level classes can be assigned a priority of 1 through 8. Sub-classes can be assigned a priority of 1,2, or 3. One is the highest priority.• Minimum bandwidths are respected regardless of priority. Minimums/maximum bandwidth is appliedacross all users in a class.
