Scripting Guide for Communication Server 1000/Meridian 1 PBX 467October 2007 ApplicationsApplications and application thresholdsUse the Scripting window in Contact Center Manager Administration to viewthe list of applications defined on your system. From this window, you can alsoaccess the Application Thresholds, where you can view the name and thethresholds that apply to an application and you can change the threshold classassigned to it.An application threshold can be applied to one or multiple applications. There isno one-to-one relationship as long as threshold parameters apply to theapplication. What is a threshold class? There are two types of threshold classes: display and pegging.A display threshold class specifies the fields that apply to an application that youuse in a real-time display. For display threshold classes, you can set the level 1(low) and level 2 (high) threshold values. In the real-time display, a statisticchanges color if it falls below the level 1 value or if it exceeds the level 2 value.A pegging threshold class applies only to historical reports. For peggingthreshold classes, you define only the level 1 (low) value. This value representsthe cut-off limit for statistics such as short calls, or the delay time before a call isanswered or disconnected. When this level is exceeded, the system logs thestatistics. You can generate a report in the Historical Reporting componentdetailing these statistics.ExampleA service level threshold is set at 20 seconds, which means that if a call isanswered or disconnected after 20 seconds, the service level objective is not met.A caller waits for 21 seconds, and then the call is answered. The call is peggedas Answered After Threshold.
