September 2007 Setting up Specific Recorder ComponentsSystem Infrastructure Guide 147Disk Management architectureDisk Management architecture is designed around the premise that there isalways a limited amount of disk space for recordings. This means that wheninsufficient disk space is detected, the oldest call is deleted and/or moved toanother media. The Recorder uses a circular disk buffer to implement a policy that allowsthe Nortel TDM Recorder to continuously record without the hard diskfilling up. This is accomplished by using a component called the DiskManager, as shown in the following diagram:Disk Manager ArchitectureRecorder ServerConsolidatorWorkflowManagerDiskManagerCaptureEngineAi-LogixVoiceCardCall Buffer(InternalDisk Drive)DeleteWriteDatabaseDisk Manager ArchitectureNGA/TCPNGA/TCPSmartworksAPI
