KEY OPERATOR PROGRAMS8-10Anti junk fax settingThis program is used to enter fax numbers fromwhich you wish to block fax reception. Up to 50(maximum of 30 when a hard disk drive is notinstalled) numbers can be entered.This program is normally disabled.To block reception from the entered fax numbers,touch the [VALID] key.1 Touch the [ENTER] key.The passcode entry screen appears.2 Enter the fax number with the numerickeys.Up to 20 digits can be entered.When you have finished entering the number,touch the [NEXT] key to store the number. A newnumber entry screen will appear. Enter the nextnumber with the numeric keys.3 Touch the [OK] key.1 Touch the [DELETE] key.The deletion screen will appear.2 Touch the number key that you wish todelete.A message will appear. Touch the [YES] key to deletethe number.To cancel the deletion, touch the [NO] key. Fax polling securityThese settings are for using the Public Box for polling memory.Note that they do not apply to F-code polling memory. (see"USING THE POLLING FUNCTION" on page 3-14)The "Fax polling security" are as follows: Polling security setting Passcode number settingPolling security settingWhen performing polling memory (See "pollingsecurity" on page 3-16), this setting is used to selectwhether any machine will be allowed to poll yourmachine, or only machines that have beenprogrammed in your machine. Polling security settingis normally turned on (a checkmark appears in thebox).To allow any machine to poll your machine, touch thebox to remove the checkmark.Passcode number settingWhen the polling security setting is turned on, usethis setting to program (or delete) the fax numbers ofthe machines that are allowed to poll your machine.Programmed fax numbers are called passcodes. Upto 10 fax numbers can be programmed.1 Touch the [ENTER] key.The passcode entry screen appears.2 Touch a blank key (a key in which nonumber appears).Keys with numbers cannot be touched.If numbers have been stored in all of the keys, amessage will appear and no further numbers can bestored.
