Inreception mode other than [Fax Ready Mode], you must connect a telephone to the machine. A telephone that is connected to themachine is called an external telephone.When a fax reception is in progress, the sender's information is displayed on the display screen. Even if the reception is complete, the[DATA IN MEMORY] indicator lights as long as the data is saved in the memory of this machine.MemoChange the reception mode in [Admin Setup] > [User Install].Setting a Reception ModeIf memory overflow occurs during data reception, the reception is canceled. In such a case, ask the sender to send the fax again.Fax Ready ModeThis mode is the factory default setting. Pick up the handset of the external telephone to answer the call. When dialing theremote switchover number, enter the next digit of the number within 3 seconds of dialing the previous digit.Instructing a Fax Reception from a Telephone Remotely (Remote Switchover Number)The external telephone may not ring properly depending on the type of your telephone.The external telephone may ring before automatically determining whether an incoming call is a voice call or fax.
