44User’s GuideSearch key diallingIf you are not sure which One Touch key or Auto Dial number contains thelocation you want to communicate with, use the Search key to lookthrough an alphabetical list of all of the Location IDs programmed intoyour fax machine.1. When selecting locations, press the Search key. The display willshow ENTER 1-ST CHAR.2. Repeatedly press the Search key to look through the entire list oflocations in alphabetical order, or locate the letter you want on thenumeric keypad, and press that key repeatedly to look throughLocation IDs beginning with that letter.Real-time diallingNormally, your fax machine dials the entire number of the location youhave selected at one time. Occasionally, it may be necessary to dialnumbers in real time (one digit at a time).If your fax machine is equipped with a handset, you can dial in real timeby picking up the handset or press the Hook/V. Request key.Note:Real-time dialling with the use of the Hook/V.request key is not available in some countries.RediallingIf the line is busy or if there is no answer, your fax machine waits and thenautomatically redials the number. Also, if your fax machine is transmittingfrom memory and a communication error occurs, it will automaticallyredial the number and try to send the fax again. You can redial a numbermanually at any time by pressing the Redial key.RESULT = OK The fax was sent successfully.COMMUN.
